Living in the present
The more I practice and teach yoga and meditation (which are not separated at all…), the deeper I get into appreciating the present moment. Did you know that feeling your body, your sensations, your emotions, your breath or anything that you are feeling right now brings you back to the present moment? The more you tune into whatever your are perceiving makes you the own maker of your destiny! Avoiding your sensations, feelings, thoughts, is bringing you either in the past (re-living the old memories) or making you project expectations of the future. When I am on my mat, I tend to focus on my movements, breathing and sensations. Re-adjusting my leg position, noticing how I block the breath in some places or noticing without judgement that I am thinking about something else. The practice of yoga that you can bring “off the mat” - in your regular life, is to come back to this moment, over and over again. Because every moment is a fresh start. The past is already gone. The future is not there yet. It does not mean that you do not care about the past or the future! As long as you recall a memory or plan on a future event CONSCIOUSLY, being aware of BE-ing here and now, you are doing the real work. The real work: living in the present. When you practice this, you are living your life fully, intensely, consciously and your choices are up to you. You are one with the universe. You are YOGA - United to everything! If you want to practice Yoga and meditation, don’t hesitate anymore and book a class - now :)
